KYC (Know Your Customer) Policy for Playoff Mobile Application Users

This KYC Policy (“Policy”) explains how Gora Games ME FZ LLC (“Gora Games”, “we”, “us”) verifies User identity in accordance with our Anti-Money Laundering Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and the requirements of our banking and payment partners.
This Policy complements, and should be read together with, our AML/CFT Policy and Terms & Conditions.
1. Purpose of KYC Verification
Gora Games is committed to preventing its platform from being used for unlawful or abusive activities, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, or unauthorised financial behaviour.
KYC verification helps ensure:
we pay winnings and withdrawals to the correct person,
Users meet the age criteria,
there is no misuse of financial instruments,
withdrawals and transactions comply with our AML Policy.
2. When We Request KYC Information
Gora Games may request KYC verification in the following situations:
2.1. Mandatory KYC at Withdrawal
In accordance with our AML Policy, Gora Games requires identity verification at the moment a User requests a withdrawal.
A withdrawal will not be processed unless the User provides the required minimum information (see Section 3).
2.2. Additional KYC in Risk Situations
We may request additional verification in cases of:
suspicious or inconsistent activity,
high-volume withdrawals,
mismatched payment details,
suspected multi-accounting or fraud,
unusual behaviour flagged by payment providers.
2.3. Age-Related KYC
If we suspect a User may be under 18, we may request proof of age.
Users under 18 cannot perform any cash-related action or withdrawal (per AML Policy).
3. Minimum Information Required at Withdrawal
To comply with our AML Policy, Users requesting a withdrawal must provide the following:
Full name,
Date of birth,
Banking requisites (bank account/IBAN/card or other payment details used for withdrawal).
Gora Games may request additional information based on risk or payment-provider requirements, but this is not mandatory for every withdrawal.
4. Prohibited Users
Gora Games prohibits:
4.1. Users Under 18
Persons under 18 may not perform cash-related actions, withdrawals, or financial transactions on the platform.
4.2. Individuals Providing False Information
If a User submits false, misleading, or inconsistent information, Gora Games may:
block withdrawals,
suspend or terminate the account,
request additional documentation, or
confiscate winnings in case of fraud or abuse.
5. Verification Methods
Depending on the situation, verification may include:
matching full name and date of birth,
comparing withdrawal banking details with User identity,
cross-checking basic information with payment providers,
additional checks where required due to risk indicators.
We may request enhanced documentation (e.g., proof of address, bank statement) only where necessary under our AML/CFT risk assessment.
6. Payment Providers and Their Requirements
Financial transactions on the Gora Games platform are processed by payment providers.
Each payment provider applies its own compliance, KYC, and AML checks.
If a provider:
delays or blocks a transaction,
requests additional information,
identifies a red flag,
Gora Games will comply with the provider’s requirements and may ask the User to submit additional information needed to complete the verification.
7. Refusal or Failure to Complete KYC
A withdrawal request may be declined, delayed, or cancelled if:
the User refuses to provide required KYC/AML information,
information appears false or inconsistent,
payment provider reports issues,
the User is under 18 or attempts to use another person’s payment instrument,
the account triggers suspicious patterns.
8. Data Retention
KYC-related data is stored for the period of 5 years reasonably required to:
comply with AML/CFT obligations,
respond to requests from payment providers or banks,
protect the legitimate interests of Gora Games,
Data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
